Elephant Bar @ Sofitel Centara Grand Resort & Villas, Hua Hin, Thailand

The Elephant Bar at the Sofitel Centara Grand Resort is situated at one end of the impressive main lobby area- the entrance is “guarded” by two large, carved teakwood elephants.
The main Sofitel hotel building has evolved from the original colonial era hotel that first opened on the beachfront site in central Hua Hin as the Railway Hotel in 1923- and at the time was the first luxury resort hotel in Thailand.
The Elephant Bar also reflects the elegant style and ambience of the colonial era, with dark timber bar and floor, leather armchairs, white marble topped tables, and brass ceiling fans.
The bar features local jazz musicians playing every evening ( except Sundays), and is open from 10am- 1 am. Snacks are available in the bar, and a large selection of cocktails, champagnes and other drinks. The signature cocktail of the bar is the “Heritage Fizz”.
