The Boathouse Restaurant opened in 2010, with the Singaporean fine dining establishment the recipient of much critical acclaim within its first year of operation. Serving a creative, modern style of French cuisine, in an intimate space on the first floor of a restored heritage building, Boathouse has garnered an enviable reputation in the competitive Singapore restaurant scene for its gourmet dining experience.  On the rooftop directly above Boathouse is the Prelude Rooftop Bar– a relaxed open-air bar with superb panoramic views across the entire Marina Bay precinct and adjacent city skyline.  Prelude is owned and operated by the same team behind Boathouse– offering diner guests a seamless transition between the dining room and the rooftop for pre or post-diner drinks.

Boathouse Restaurant serves a Set Menu Business Lunch from Monday to Friday, an evening Dinner Menu from Monday to Saturday. On Sundays, a popular Brunch Menu is served.

The restored  Fullerton Waterboat House- an elegant art deco building on the Singapore waterfront

The original Waterboat House was constructed in 1919 on what was then the oceanfront of Singapore. Synonymous with its name, the Waterboat House originally served as the supply point of fresh water to the vessels berthing at Singapore harbour. The distinctive building design incorporates art deco influences, with its curving profile  and quirky circular tower at one end. Officially listed as a heritage building, the structure was carefully restored as part of the Fullerton Heritage project, and transformed into the home of several fine dining establishments.

The Boathouse Restaurant occupies the entire first floor of the building, with the intimately proportioned open-plan dining room seating a maximum of 45 diners only. A few further tables are available on the small outdoor terrace- weather permitting. The interior design was created with a pared-back elegance, featuring raw concrete screed flooring, dark timber furniture and white walls and ceilings. Large opening windows along both side walls bathe the room with natural daylight during the day. Table settings are classically elegant with crisp white linen tablecloths and napkins. The dining room exudes an atmosphere of refined but relaxed dining.

Decorative elements include an uncluttered collection of colonial period pictures of Singapore society and notable historic events that link to the heritage of the building. A number of nautical artifacts make the connection with the original function of the Waterboat House.
