Why: Aron came out tops in the first local WORLD CLASS challenge with My-Garita, an Asian twist on the classic margarita. Using Don Julio Reposado tequila, lemongrass, fresh lime juice, orange liqueur, curry leaves and Kaffir Lime leaves, Aron impressed the judges with the smooth taste and fragrant aroma of his cocktail. Visiting guest judge and WORLD CLASS Bartender of the Year 2012, Tim Philips commented, “Aron won the Retro Chic challenge as it was the best tasting drink and his performance and presentation was informative. He selected local ingredients, which both intrigued and excited me at the same time.”
