Perennially popular for 21 years- Spasso delights with its superb Italian cuisine- vibrant bar & live music
September 17th, 2013
Recently celebrating its 21st anniversary, Spasso at the luxurious Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok, has enjoyed a remarkable popularity since it debuted back in 1992. Glamorous, sultry and buzzing with energy- Spasso has been firmly established in the top echelon of Bangkok’s upscale nightlife for many years with its masterful melding of a sophisticated Italian restaurant dining experience with a darkly seductive bar- full of deep, rich colours, low lighting and serious drinks- and then enlivened later in the evenings with dynamic resident international bands that transform Spasso into a high-spirited and enjoyable night club. Conveniently located in the heart of Bangkok’s business and premier shopping district, Spasso’s multi-dimensional appeal of authentic Italian cuisine, superb cocktails and vibrant live music attracts a discerning, sophisticated clientele that varies as the venue transforms over the course of the day and night.
Located on the lower lobby level, Spasso exudes a warm, welcoming vibe with decor featuring a generous deployment of natural timbers, black and red leather upholstery, subdued lighting and spacious layout. A central colonnade- with its stunning copper-sheathed, vaulted ceiling- separates the open restaurant dining area from the bar and dance floor. Spasso boasts two circular bars- at the front of the room is the main cocktail bar- while a second bar at the rear of the room services the circular dance floor patrons later in the evenings.
Spasso is open daily- serving lunch and dinner, with a Sunday “Best Italian” Brunch. The bar is open daily from 6pm, and bands play Monday to Saturday from 10pm until 2am. On Friday and Saturday nights a cover charge is applicable for non-restaurant guests after 9pm, and table reservations for the restaurant are recommended.
