Since opening back in 2003, Tsu Japanese Restaurant,  well known for its masterful renditions of sushi, together with partner teppanyaki restaurant Nami, have set  a high standard for authentic Japanese cuisine in the Thai capitol city. Located within the prestigious JW Marriott Bangkok, in a contemporary space that exudes a distinctively Japanese design aesthetic, both restaurants have been widely regarded as among the best places in Bangkok to experience outstanding Japanese cuisine. Under the direction of Japanese Head Chef Nomoto Norio, Tsu has garnered an enviable reputation for its consummate servings of the freshest sushi and sashimi dishes, complemented with tantalising selections of the chef’s creative fusion style dishes.

Set within a large lower lobby space, Tsu restaurant offers an outlook through full height glass of a serene Zen garden courtyard, replete with ponds and stone beds. Internally, the contemporary design deftly melds traditional Japanese ethos with modern design elements to create a relaxed yet sophisticated dining environment. Standing between Tsu restaurant and the Nami teppanyaki dining section, the Sake Bar is renowned for serving one of the best sake selections in Bangkok, with over 100 varieties across a broad spectrum of prices. Diners at Tsu can choose between seats at the sushi counter, a series of casual high tables adjacent to the Sake Bar entrance, and well-spaced dining tables within the main dining area. Several private dining rooms are available for small groups, corporate diners and family celebrations.

Sourcing the freshest air-flown seafood from Japanese fish markets underscores the exemplary standards set by Head Chef Norio.  His extensive menu of freshly prepared traditional sushi, sashimi and rolls also includes evolving seasonal highlights such as the Japanese Autumn specialty of fresh Samna fish. Modern fusion style dishes include the Scallop Thai Green Chili – with seared scallop, mixed spicy Thai green chili, tomato puree, and white miso; and Rossini Roll – with grilled foie gras, Wagyu beef, black pepper soy, and white truffle oil.

Tsu offers some enticing promotions such as the daily (except Sundays) “All-You-Can-Eat” lunch buffet, with a wide selection of dishes that include sashimi, sushi, rolls, salads, tempura, Soba and Udon noodles, grilled Australian Beef and Norwegian Salmon, plus desserts, for the very accessible price of THB990 net.  And on Sundays, Tsu and Nami restaurants combine to offer “The Coolest Sunday Brunch in Town” – with a impressive variety of over 150 dishes to select from, plus free-flow sparkling wine, sake and Asahi beer for THB2,090++.

Tsu Japanese Restaurant opens daily for lunch between 11:30 am and 2:30 pm; and for dinner between 6:00 pm and 10:30 pm. Sunday Brunch is served between 11:30 am and 3:00 pm. Table booking are recommended, and seasonal menu promotions are featured on the JW Marriott Facebook Page.
