Update 2018:  Dimbulah Bistro at Chijmes has closed

March 23rd, 2015

Highly regarded since their Singapore debut with a single coffee cart in 2002, Dimbulah Coffee now operate seven cafes throughout the city, catering to a discerning clientele of both office workers and casual patrons. Australian owned and managed, Dimbulah cafes serve premium quality boutique arabica coffee, with the beans grown, harvested, and roasted exclusively on the company owned Dimbulah Mountain Estate plantation, located in tropical far north Queensland. The enticing soft chocolate and caramel notes of the Dimbulah coffee, combined with the stylish yet laid-back Australian cafe vibe, has proven a popular alternative to the commonplace coffee chain outlets.

With the opening of their latest store at the refurbished heritage Chijmes upscale dining and lifestyle complex, Dimbulah have launched an enhanced concept for their cafes, with the addition of a gourmet small plates bistro menu, complemented with all-day full bar service. The new Dimbulah outlet at Chijmes offers an appealing destination – good for sociable all-day dining, gourmet coffee, and casual drinks.

Located adjacent to one of the street level entrances to the Chijmes complex, Dimbulah occupies a spacious corner, combining an air-conditioned indoor section that seamlessly extends onto the open-air (under cover) deck settings. Full height glass panels on three sides fold back to open the entire cafe out onto the internal promenade.

In addition to their hallmark gourmet coffee and cafe fare, the new bistro menu includes an eclectic selection of small plates for sharing, plus more substantial “big plates”, pastas, salads and indulgent sweets. Menu highlights include the Beef Burger – made with Australian lean beef, fresh herbs and trimmings, course-cut fries; Seabass & Prawn Croquettes; and the Antipasti platter with prosciutto, salami, smoked salmon, olives, roast capsicum and mesclun. Additionally, an “Australian-style” all-day breakfast menu offers hearty options like the Farmhouse Breakfast – with eggs any style, bacon, sausages & more. At the bar, Dimbulah has a well-curated selection of boutique Australian and New Zealand wines, plus a good list of classic cocktails, and draft and bottled beers – all at agreeable prices.

Dimbulah at Chijmes opens Monday to Thursday from 4pm until midnight, and from 8am on Saturday and Sunday.. Regular special menu offers are featured on the Dimbulah Facebook Page, while the attractive daily Happy Hour promotion extends from opening until 7pm.
