Following its Bangkok launch in 2013, the spectacular KU DE TA rooftop bar, restaurant and lounge club complex continues to set the standard for glamorous dining and sophisticated nightlife in the city. As part of the Singapore-based CÉ LA VI group, both CÉ LA VI in Singapore and KU DE TA in Bangkok have recently refreshed and upgraded their facilities and cocktail programs. In Bangkok, KU DE TA occupies the upper two levels of an office tower in the upscale Sathorn business district, providing guests with a choice of two restaurants, four distinctly themed bars, and the club lounge.

Club Lounge

A recent refurbishment of the cavernous main Club Lounge space has created two distinct zones – at one end the Club  for partying – and beyond full height curtains, the Lounge offers laid-back socialising, drinks and bites. The new Lounge now also encompasses an outdoor terrace offering casual lounge settings and spectacular skyline views over Bangkok. Guests can order food from an Asian-inspired tapas menu to accompany the consummate cocktails from the bar, while resident DJs play an eclectic mix of familiar tunes as guests unwind in the sophisticated surroundings.

The Lounge is open Wednesdays to Saturday from 8pm until late.

KU Bar cocktails

Under the direction of CÉ LA VI Regional Head Mixologist Knut Randhem, cocktails at all the CÉ LA VI and KU DE TA bars are innovative yet solidly grounded in an appreciation of classic cocktails. Signature cocktails closely reference timeless classic drinks, updated and elevated with Asian flavour influences and culinary ingredients. A hallmark of Knut’s approach to contemporary Asian-influenced mixology is the clean and crisp taste profile of his signature creations, as distinct from the bolder flavours typical of most classic cocktails.

Recently updated cocktail lists in Singapore and Bangkok are exemplified by signature drinks such as the Kiku Vesper – a consummate combination of Tanqueray Gin, Yuzu Shochu, and homemade Dry Sake Tonic; and the Hurricane Lychee – crafted from Tanqueray Gin, Shiso leaves, cucumber, honey & limes.

KU Bar opens Monday and Tuesday from 11 am to 10:30 pm, and Wednesday to Saturday from 11 am until late. Special promotions at KU Bar and Club Lounge include the Sundown Doubles available Mondays to Saturday between 5pm and 8pm, with Buy 1 Get 1 Free on selected standard drinks, beer and wines. Check the KU DE TA Bangkok Facebook Page for the latest on upcoming events and promotions.
