Authentic Bavarian style cuisine and drinking in KL can now be enjoyed at another branch of the popular  Brotzeit German Bier Bar & Restaurant – recently opened at the fashionable Bansgar Shopping Centre. The concept for Brotzeit was originally developed in Singapore, with the first restaurant opened there in 2006.  Brotzeit has since expanded internationally – firstly in Malaysia, and subsequently in Vietnam, Philippines and Hong Kong.  The appealing  Brotzeit concept entices diners with genuine contemporary Bavarian cuisine, prepared in the kitchens by German chefs, and complemented with premium Paulaner German draft and bottled beers. True to convivial Bavarian drinking and dining customs, Brotzeit offers a casual, yet stylish environment for drinking beer and sharing hearty Bavarian dishes.

Furnished with solid timber tables and bench seats, padded with dark brown leather, the contemporary decor of Brotzeit exudes a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The newly opened Bangsar restaurant is located on a prominent ground level space overlooking gardens to the street.  Combining  both an open-air “biergarten” area, with a compact indoor air conditioned bar and split-level dining space, Brotzeit  comfortably accommodates families, friends and small groups to enjoy the German beers and food, watch sport on large screens, or simply chill out with the refreshing beers.

Prepared to authentic Bavarian recipes, the signature dish of Brotzeit is the Schweinshaxn / Pork Knuckle- Crispy hind shank of grain fed pork served with potato salad, sauerkraut and homemade sauce on the side. Other popular German dishes on the extensive menu include the Wurstelplatte- Sausage Platter (for sharing)- traditional German sausages- Nürnberger: Pork bratwurst with mashed potato and sauerkraut Original Weisswurst: Traditional Munich veal and garlic pork sausage served with sauerkraut and mustard; and spicy chicken sausages. Complementing the German cuisine, Brotzeit serve freshly brewed premium quality Paulaner beers on tap and bottled, together with other premium German bottled beers and a full beverage list that also includes wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic options.

Brotzeit @BSC is open Monday to Saturday from 11 am to late, and on Sundays, opening from 9:30 am for brunch.  Check the Brotzeit Facebook Page for updates on special promotions and events.
