ISONO Ginebras Club – specialty gin-based cocktail program at convivial design-infused bar

Since opening in mid-2014, the bar at ISONO has established itself among the upper echelon of Hong Kong’s first-rate cocktail bars. In addition to the stunning interior design of the double-volume space atop the PMQ creative hub, the ISONO bar excels with a sophisticated yet unpretentious approach to the contemporary cocktail experience, while the polished cocktails integrate harmoniously with the accomplished modern Mediterranean cuisine of ISONO head chef Paolo Casagrande.
Under the direction of high-profile bar consultant Giancarlo Mancino, the ISONO bar program was refreshed last year to embrace the flourishing revival of gin-forward drinks. An impressive compilation of signature gin-based cocktails, reworked classics, and an expanded range of Spanish style “gin tonic” serves, highlight the new drinks list at ISONO. Guided by knowledgeable bar manager Jonny Hana, guests can select from a global gin list that runs to 70+ labels, match the gin flavour profile with a choice of 9 varieties of premium tonic waters, and add botanical garnishes to create the consummate gin and tonic.
Among the 12 new signature gin-based cocktails (each available on individual recipe postcards), be sure to try the Long Basil Smash made with London Dry Gin, Mancino Vermouth Bianco Ambrato, basil sour mix, basil leaves, soda; Washed Negroni a combination of London Dry Gin, Mancino Vermouth Bianco Ambrato, Biancosarti, elderflower liqueur, grapefruit & aromatic bitters; and the Gin Opal with London Dry Gin, elderflower cordial, pressed yuzu juice, orange water.
ISONO Eatery & Bar is open daily from midday to midnight. A daily Happy Hour promotion runs between 6 pm and 7 pm Monday to Thursday, and 5 pm to 7 pm Friday to Sunday.
