Taking over the space previously occupied by 3-Michelin starred Bo Innovation restaurant (which has relocated to a larger space within the same building), Bib n Hops is a new collaboration between “Demon Chef” Alvin Leung and the Hong Kong-based Liberty Group. Inspired by the progressive Korean cooking found in Seoul’s bustling street food scene, Bib n Hops brings to Hong Kong an edgy K-street style dining experience with its urban chic design and chill-out patio. An innovative menu showcases Korean comfort and street foods – with twists and unexpected ingredient combinations by culinary director Leung and the young Korean head chef Yong-Soo Do. Embracing an edgy K-street vibe with American and Korean hip-hop tunes and a young energetic team, Bib n Hops is a fun destination for casual Korean dining and drinks.

Design  Located on the second floor of the J Senses building on Wanchai’s vibrant Ship Street, the Bib n Hops compact interior has been recreated with raw brickwork, large Korean murals and a contemporary industrial-chic aesthetic.

Cuisine  Among the standout dishes on the Bib n Hops menus are Mung Bean Pancake with seafood; Yukhoe – Korean steak tartare; Cheese Nakji – stir-fried spicy octopus with mozzarella fondue; and the curry-enhanced house version of Korean Fried Chicken. Variations of the popular Bibimbap (Korean claypot rice) dishes include Peruvian Spiced Pork Bell; Singaporean Soft Shell Crab; and Sichuan Chilli Chicken. Drinks at Bib n Hops celebrate the Korean drinking culture with selections of premium soju, fruit beers, rice wines, as well as beer and cocktails, concocted with K-inspired extreme mixology.

Bib n Hops opens daily – with lunch served Monday to Saturdays from 12:00pm to 2:30pm – and dinner nightly between 6:00pm and 11:00pm.
