The hotel recently underwent an extensive re-design and refurbishment, and has re-opened with an updated sleek and sophisticated style.

The M Bar is located on the top (25th) floor of the hotel, and is flanked on either side by award winning restaurants- on the city-side by the single Michelin-starred Man Wah signature Cantonese restaurant; and on the harbor-side by Pierre– the two Michelin-starred modern French cuisine restaurant. The room is highlighted by the central bar that extends, with its distinctive lotus-bud shape, out into the main floor space. A wall of full height windows provide panoramic views over the impressive skyline of office towers of the Central business district, and extending across Victoria Harbour. The interior features a dark, sensuous style of restrained luxury, with a dark timber lattice ceiling , combining with timber bar stools and chairs, and  charcoal velvet furnishings.

The M Bar serves up an enticing selection of both classic and creative cocktails, together with champagnes, premium spirits and wines. The weekdays also feature a lunchtime special of “Dim Sum with a view”- offering a selection of the sumptuous dim sum from the kitchens of the adjacent Man Wah restaurant. In the evenings  a selection of light “tapas” style dishes are available to accompany the drinks.

The cocktail selections comprise the signature creations- “Most Wanted” – including  BLOOD  AND SAND- Scotch, Sweet Vermouth, Cherry Heering, Orange Bitters & Cheery Beer; and CRUMBLE- Brown Butter Rum, Falernum, Pear Cider & Nutmeg. The “Martinis” feature creations such as  TUBEROSE- Gin, Parfait Amour, Strawberry, Orange & Lime; and PINK- Vodka, Cassis, Raspberry, White Chocolate & Lemon.

A special promotion for 2012 brings a selection of signature Mandarin Oriental cocktails from Mandarin Oriental hotels around the world. Each month  two different signature cocktails will be featured- offering guests a taste of the best libations created at some of the leading bars of the world.
