Opened in April 2012, the Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit is the impressive new flagship property for the luxurious Sofitel hotel brand in Thailand. Strategically located at the locus of Bangkok’s business, upmarket shopping, and entertainment districts, the imposing art deco styled tower casts a bold presence over the streetscape of the famous Sukhumvit Road. Consistent with the French lifestyle heritage of the hospitality brand, Sofitel Bangkok distinguishes with a superb collection of gourmet dining and entertainment venues, among which includes the Le Bar De L’Hotel– a luxurious, modern lounge bar adjacent to the spectacular grandeur of the entrance lobby.

Designed by acclaimed local Thai interior design firm PIA, the interior of Le Bar De L’Hotel is exquisitely furnished with a contemporary decor of assertive sophistication and seductively chic appeal. The long, rectangular space features seating combinations of comfortable sofas, daybeds and armchairs, with semi-private alcove settings along the side walls. The natural tones of the rich polished timber flooring contrast with the sleek metallic textures of the walls and the dramatic overhead lighting installation- a spectacular assemblage of over 3,000 individual fibre optic tubes, suspended in a wave pattern from the ceiling. The far end of the room is anchored by the sleek black marble bar, in front of which is the intimate performing space for the live bands.
Le Bar De L’Hotel offers both guests and local Bangkok residents a classy venue of relaxed sophistication, ideal for an afternoon rendezvous with friends, or simply a chill out space, and in the evenings allures with a more exuberant atmosphere for pre-dinner aperitifs, and later, engaging live music and sublime libations. Generous daily promotions on beverages aim to entice even the budget- conscious drinkers, and together with the delicious bar cuisine, ensure guests satiate both thirsts and appetites.
The drinks program at Le Bar De L’Hotel is founded on a well-crafted wine selection, showcased in two large-glass fronted wine cellars that flank either side of the bar entrance, and a stellar cocktail list of classic and creative cocktails. Classic cocktails include a concise selection of the most popular cocktails, all crafted from the finest premium spirits and ingredients, Mojito- Pampero Rum, fresh mint, sugar, lime juice, soda, crushed ice; Old Fashion- Bourbon, sugar, soda, bitters; and Cosmopolitan- Smirnoff Vodka, Cointreau, cranberry juice, fresh lime juice. Signature creations from the “Haute Coquetel” cocktails include Aromojito Pour Femme- Havana Club, Vodka Rose, fresh lime juice, mint leaves, rose petals; and Parfum De Mimosa- Champagne, Grand Marnier, orange sherbet, orange blossom, Angostura Bitters. And standout selections from the “Liquid Delightful” cocktails- Cristal Star- Pampero Rum, Amaretto , apricot brandy, pineapple juice, orange juice, fresh lime juice; and Lemon Lavender Daiquiri- Lavender tea, Pampero Rum, Cointreau, lime juice, syrup.
Other drinks encompass a wide selection of premium spirits, single malts, imported beers, and non-alcoholic beverages.
Complimenting the drinks, the “All-Day Snacking” menu includes both selections of tapas dishes, and the chefs’ interpretations of local popular Thai street food dishes listed under “Almost Street Food”.
Le Bar De L’Hotel is open daily from 11:00 am, and is accessed directly from the main lobby.

Tapas selections are showcased at the entrance to Le Bar. Full height glass-encased wine cellars are set into the wall either side of the entrance.
