Occupying a corner space adjacent to the 6th floor lobby, Lobster Bar & Grill comprises a spacious main bar section – connected seamlessly with the adjoining opulent restaurant section. An imposingly handsome mahogany bar, topped with black marble, extends across one side of the bar space; while a black grand piano helps delineate between the bar and dining sections. Luxuriously upholstered leather bar stools face the bar, with further seating available at plush sofa settings and a communal high table. In the dining room, two live aquariums embedded into the wall behind curved leather banquettes provide a dramatic visual reference to the seafood theme. And opening off the bar section, an outdoor garden terrace offers a casual option with high tables sheltered under large parasols.
Heading up the Lobster Bar & Grill bar team since 2012, highly respected Bar Manager Agung Prabowo has been working in Hong Kong’s upscale cocktail bar scene since 2007. And together with Assistant Bar Manager Joe Villanueva, a winner of multiple prestigious bartender competitions, the accomplished bar team deliver a highly polished and knowledgeable bar service. Recently compiled, the impressive beverage list features unheralded classic cocktails – faithfully reproduced from original recipes found in vintage bartenders’ guides. Elevated with modern techniques, premium artisanal liquors and house-made mixers, the list of 30 classic cocktails offers patrons a rewarding drinks experience with fascinating, well-balanced libations. Selected spirits and fortified wines are meticulously aged in oak barrel aged for added body, flavor complexity and smoothness, while the leather-bound drinks list provides detailed explanatory notes on each major spirit category, plus complete cocktail recipes.
In the restaurant, Head Chef Kevin Lee cooks market fresh seafood and produce for his contemporary renditions of classic grill cuisine. Signature dishes include the Lobster Bar and Grill Seafood Platter with selections of market fresh, succulent seafood, served on ice; a flavourful Lobster Bisque; and the Grilled French Sea Bass served with vegetables. Lobster Bar & Grill opens daily from 12 pm until 1am close (Friday and Saturday 2am), with jazz vocalists performing nightly from 8pm (except on Sundays).
