City-fringe branch of glamorous Singapore cafe – gourmet European cafe cuisine & sophisticated bar
PS Cafe Ann Siang Hill

April 26th, 2016

Since the opening of the first PS.Cafe in Singapore back in 1999, the PS.Cafe brand has expanded to now include four branches, plus brand offshoots PS.Cafe Petit, and the Anglo-Chinese concept of the Chopsuey Cafes. The branch of PS.Cafe located at the conservation-listed Ann Siang Hill enclave is set within a restored 3-level shophouse with the city skyline views filtered through a garden setting. Styled as a classic European cafe and bar, PS.Cafe serves a contemporary interpretation of European cafe and grill fare with signature dishes elevated with pan-Asian influences. With its convenient location on the fringe of the CBD, the stylish twin bars of PS.Cafe are well-patronised by local city executive and international visitors – classic cocktails with a local twist and an impressive collection of artisan gins headline the beverages. Open daily, PS.Cafe serves lunch (and weekend brunches), afternoon tea, and dinner, with a bar bites menu served at the bars.

Design  PS.Cafes embrace a casual-chic dining aesthetic that draws inspiration from the sophisticated yet relaxed cafes of Europe, melded with colonial-era influences. Set across three levels, the fastidiously decorated interior features original architectural elements that complement plush black leather banquettes and classic cafe furnishings. At the entrance level, a handsome timber bar welcomes guests, while on the second level the spacious dining room epitomises elegant cafe dining. At the upper attic level, a lounge section offers both comfortable dining settings and a vibrant bar – with an outdoor terrace overlooking the city skyline.

Cuisine  Referencing the casual dining experiences of a European cafe, the approachable menus at PS.Cafe feature familiar cafe fare – with the PS signatures including consummate renditions of classic dishes, as well as contemporary Asian-influenced creations. Separate Lunch, Brunch and Dinner menus offer selections of salads, soups and pastas, sandwiches and burgers, plus grilled meats and seafood. And the PS home-style desserts are a standout attraction at the cafes.

Cocktails  At the bars, PS signature cocktails feature proficiently crafted reinterpretations of classics – while an impressive assemblage of craft and premium gins, matched with premium tonic waters – create an intriguing list of Gin & Tonics. The regular Truffle Thursday promotion features complimentary truffled-inflected bar bites, well-priced Veuve Clicquot Champagne, and with a house DJ adding to the vibe.

PS.Cafe at Ann Siang Hill Park opens daily – with lunch served between 11:30m and 4pm, and dinner service from 6:30pm, while the bars open from 5pm. Table bookings are advised for dinner and weekend brunches.
