Established in late 2015, La Table du Chef  has introduced an impressively credentialed destination for fine French cuisine in central Hanoi. Set within the Press Club building – adjacent to the Sofitel Metropole and Opera House at the heart of Hanoi’s historic French quarter – the refined restaurant serves the acclaimed haute cuisine of Parisian chef and restaurateur Alain Dutournier. With an interior that blends colonial era heritage with contemporary sophistication, La Table du Chef exudes an understated elegance that complements the highly accomplished French cuisine served daily for lunch and dinner. The exceptional wine cellar features over 450 carefully selected and predominantly French wines that provide ideal accompaniments to the exceptional French cuisine. Consummate modern French cuisine and polished yet discrete service attracts a discerning clientele drawn from local society and business circles – La Table du Chef opens daily – serving lunch and dinner.

Design The restaurant design has been conceived as a haven of calm and quiet taste with its luxurious decor of polished timber flooring and wall paneling, original artworks, Hermès wallpaper, and lacquered tables. In addition to the main dining room, a series of semi-private dining spaces and rooms are arrayed across the spacious interior, separated by vertical timber screens and offering a comfortable and discrete dining environment for small groups.

Cuisine  Included for decades among the elite of French chefs, Alain Dutourier has garnered numerous prestigious culinary awards for his original interpretations of French haute cuisine, with his flagship Parisian restaurant – Carré des Feuillants – holding two-Michelin star status. Introducing his celebrated cuisine to Asia at La Table du Chef,  Chef Dutourier has created an a la carte menu that highlights the finest imported French and local Vietnamese produce, including fresh seasonal Fine De Claire oysters, French-farmed poultry such as duck, pheasants and guinea fowl, and highly-prized truffles. A 7-course Degustation Menu showcases the culinary repertoire of Chef Dutournier, while a 3-course Lunch Set offers good value at VND850,000++ per person.

La Table du Chef serves lunch daily from 11:30am and dinner from 6:00pm. Table and private dining space bookings are recommended. Guests can also enjoy exotic cocktails and music at the adjacent La Plume bar and lounge.
