With year-round balmy tropical evenings that are ideal for taking in spectacular city views and sunset drinks, Ho Chi Minh City in recent years has embraced the concept of stylish rooftop bars and dining venues. Among the trendsetting rooftop destinations, the multi-concept combination of Chill Skybar, Chill Lounge and Chill Dining that occupy the top two levels of the AB Tower in the city’s financial district has been attracting an upscale clientele since its opening back in 2011. Presenting spectacular views across the Saigon skyline from its perch on the 26th and 27th floors, the Chill Saigon venues offer a variety of upscale dining and nightlife experiences including modern grill cuisines at the elegant Chill Dining restaurant; and sophisticated mixology or relaxed drinks on the open-air terrace of the stylish Chill Skybar and Lounge – transitioning later in the evenings into a pulsating late night party venue.

Design   Located on the uppermost 27th floor, Chill Dining is modelled on a contemporary steakhouse concept with timber floors and elegant leather seating, while floor-to-ceiling glass walls offer panoramic views from every table. The main dining room seats around 80 guests, with a VIP private room seating up to 10 guests. An impressive external wooden staircase provides a dramatic entry to the Chill Skybar and Lounge on the lower 26th level where the circular open-air bar is the centrepiece feature. Adjacent to the spacious outdoor deck space, the Chill Lounge is an indoor space behind full-height glass with a chic contemporary decor, VIP sofa zone and marble bar counter.

Food & Drinks  At Chill Dining, the modern charcoal grill cuisine menu follows a Farm to Table mindset with premium meats, poultry and seafood sourced fresh from both local farmers and international producers. Complementing the grill cuisine, a well-curated wine program is showcased in a 300 bottle walk-in wine cellar. At the various bars, the in-house mixologists work from a concise list of signature and classic cocktails crafted from premium spirits and fresh local ingredients. Classic cocktails such as Negroni, Dry Martini, and Long Island Iced Tea offer well-executed familiar drinks, while cocktails with a creative twist include the Saigon Mai Tai and “Street Style” Vietnamese Espresso Martini.

Chill Skybar & Lounge and Chill Dining open daily from 5:30pm – a Happy Hour promotion  daily between 5:30pm and 9pm with selected drinks & snacks at 88.000vnd++ draws the after-work and tourist crowds for sunset and evening libations.
