Modern Singapore izakaya refreshes humid nights with a zesty new drinks program

Modern izakaya-inspired Neon Pigeon celebrates Singapore’s humid tropical nights with its latest offering: a refreshing new collection of cocktails that showcase classic cocktails reimagined with innovative infusions and culinary ingredients. Created by head bartender Corbin Tay the assemblage of cocktails features eighteen new artisanal creations – categorized under nine taste profiles: Old Fashioned; Refreshing; Negroni’s; Clippings; Elegant; Frizzante; Lemony; Punches and an ode to a pop song – Ice, Ice Baby.

Is it a Margarita? enjoys the creative combination of  Espolon tequila and sake – with the herbal notes of suze, strawberry puree, and fresh lime juice. While Not Classic is a low ABV drink and perfect digestif – sake, umeshu, and cold brew coffee marry together with the aroma of cinnamon wood for a unique bitter aftertaste. And the Wasabi Drop offers a tangy kick of T&T vodka combined with granola sake, and wasabi. The elegant Geisha is a remake of the classic martini cocktail, drizzled with apricot brandy, sherry, and shitake-infused sake for a sweet note. Popular mainstays of the bar are still available –  including Neon Pigeon’s special collection of liquors.

The casual bar and restaurant – now in its third year – radiates a “New York” vibe with its edgy urban aesthetic, and perennially popular within the hip Keong Saik neighborhood. Its lively atmosphere provides the perfect destination for after work drinks and casual dining with friends. Head chef Justin Hammond, previously at Melbourne’s famed Asian-fusion restaurant Gingerboy, delights diners with his progressive Japanese-inspired menu – quirkily dubbed with bird-themed names. Designed to complement the cocktails – selections of Bar Bites and Birdfeed small plates provide sociable sharing snacks.

Neon Pigeon is located at The Working Capital, #1 Keong Saik Road. Doors open Monday to Saturday from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m.
