An offshoot of Bangkok’s well-established Above Eleven rooftop restaurant and bar – Above Eleven Bali was launched by Soho Hospitality in mid-2017 occupying a prime location on the rooftop at Movenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran. Highly regarded in Bangkok for its unique combination of authentic Peruvian-Japanese cuisine – known as Nikkei cuisine – and the enticing concept of a park-in-the-sky lifestyle destination, the Bali offshoot meticulously replicates the stylish vibe of its Bangkok sibling. Presenting sweeping views over Jimbaran Bay, Above Eleven Bali is an enticing destination for sunset cocktails and relaxed unpretentious dining.
Taking design cues from the original Bangkok location, the Bali restaurant features timber decks, lush greenery, tree-inspired illuminated canopies and the stunning centrepiece bar. Guests can choose from casual sofa settings, high tables for casual drinks, and comfortable dining settings. At the bar the focus of the drinks list is on pisco and Peruvian-themed drinks, Japanese sakes, refreshing tropical “Island” cocktails and a good selection of international wines.
Enjoying remarkable global popularity, the unique fusion of Peruvian and Japanese food offers creative and colourful dishes filled with texture and robust flavors – a great choice for either social dining or casual bar bites. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes including marinated raw seafood “cebiches”; fresh sushi and sashimi selections; grilled seafood; and sharing platters.
