Meticulously detailed to replicate the famous entrance of 10 Downing Street ( UK Prime Minister’s residence) newly opened The Monarchy Cocktail Bar & Ultra Lounge is an expression of quintessential Britishness. Created by high profile co-founders Robbie Hoyes-Cock (The Podium Lounge – F1 after-parties), and Steve Yallop (ex-GM of Pangaea ultra lounge at Marina Bay Sands), The Monarchy is the culmination of their deep experience catering to Singapore’s glamorous and affluent social scene. Uniquely in Singapore, The Monarchy deftly combines two experiences – a polished cocktail bar – plus an exclusive ultra-lounge featuring top local and international DJs and celebrity performances.
The Cocktail Bar Beyond the entrance, the Cocktail Bar impresses with its imposing 8-metre black granite bar counter spanning the back wall of the bar space. Tan leather barstools, a long British racing green leather banquette, red leather booths, herringbone-patterned wooden floors, and brass-accents combine to exude an understated luxe decor. On the walls, a specially commissioned collection of regally themed artworks offer a cheeky tribute to famous members of the British monarchy.
An exceptional team of bartenders recruited from a number of Singapore’s iconic cocktail bars ensure a top-notch cocktail service. A well-curated cocktail list (updated quarterly) features classic cocktails – elevated with distinctive British inflections -and named accordingly. Epitomized by Stairway to Heaven – a combination of vodka, lemon, rhubarb & apple liqueur references the Led Zepplin classic; meanwhile, Message in a Bottle (a nod to The Police) includes Scotch Whisky, sweet vermouth, maraschino & orange liqueur. Single malt whiskies feature prominently – including the recently launched collection of 8 different single malt expressions bottled under Diageo’s new Game of Thrones label.
The Ultra Lounge Operating only on weekends (and eve of public holidays) and accessed through a “secret door” at the back of the cocktail bar – the exclusive The Monarchy Ultra Lounge is revealed as an exclusive destination for an elite clientele. Dark and intimate – the luxuriously interior includes plush Chesterfield sofas and VIP tables (minimum spend packages apply) named after British icons including John Lennon, George Michael, Audrey Hepburn, and Helen Mirren. Intimately scaled to accommodate only 100 guests, The Monarchy Ultra Lounge has quickly captured the patronage of the discerning and in-the-know party set in Singapore.
