A recent addition to Hong Kong’s bar scene, The Daily Tot takes its inspiration from the rum dens of the Caribbean, serving a selection of rums for sipping neat, and showcased in a concise collection of rum-based cocktails. Personally selected by founder and bar manager Tiana Ludhhani (originally hailing from Barbados) the collection features rums from small distilleries and sugar cane plantations across the Caribbean islands. Occupying a corner space along SOHO’s vibrant Hollywood Road, the Cuban-inspired decor evokes a laid-back mid-century vibe that sets it apart from generic Tiki-themed rum bars.

Taking its name from the 300-year Navy tradition – The Daily Tot bar team – headed by Hong Kong bar veteran Gerry Olino – take their rums seriously. Headlining the bar menu, The Rum Journey features 11 signature cocktails that showcase local rums from Barbados, Bermuda, Cuba, Martinique, Panama, and the Dominican Republic. And for rum aficionados, the Rum Bible offers a diverse selection of rums expertly curated from niche distilleries across the region – including rare aged rums and outstanding blends – exemplified by the renowned Black Tot rum – served exclusively in Hong Kong by The Daily Tot.

The bar team also serves off-menu classic cocktails; seasonal non-rum cocktails; and spirit-free cocktails. While the Happy Tot Hour promotion (daily 5 pm – 8 pm) offers four rum-cocktails at HKD80, a selection of 45ml serve “Rum Tots” at HKD50, plus a variety of other beverages.
