Employees Only brings prohibition-era vibe to transform MO Bar with pop-up bar and restaurant

World’s Best Cocktail Bar – EMPLOYEES ONLY – Pop-Up at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong to Celebrate MO Bar’s 2015 MASTERS OF MIXOLOGY Series from September 8th – 11th only.
As part of the year-long celebrations for the hotel’s 10th anniversary, MO Bar is to be taken over by the New York’s Employees Only the legendary venue which has never fallen off the World’s 50 Best Bars List. Created in the spirit of the 1920s and ’30s, Employees Only will bring its prohibition-era vibe to transform MO Bar — for the very first time — into a truly pop-up bar and restaurant, pairing its straight from NYC signature cocktails with classic American and European-inspired cuisine.
Iconoclast owner Igor Hadzismajlovic and principal bartender Steve Schneider are crossing the oceans to partner with MO Bar’s Head Bartender Jigmee Lama, while Employees Only Chef Julia Jaksic will cook her award winning and delicious dishes and bar snacks throughout the four pop-up days. Known for its unlike-any-other sips style, Employees Only has been recognized with top industry honors including the coveted Best Bar in the World trophy from Tales of the Cocktail in 2011 and 5th position on the Best Bar in the World by Drinks International in 2014.
During 8 to 11 September only, these all the way from NYC cocktails will be available from 6pm to 12:30am, as MO Bar is turned over to Igor and Steve. A la carte food items from Employees Only’s menu will also be available from 6pm to 11:30pm at prices starting from HKD88. New Yorkers swear by the signature Closing Time – Chicken Soup! after a night of drinking, considering this a “badge of honor” for those who survive until closing time at Employees Only.
