Home of the iconic Singapore Sling cocktail reopens after major makeover – special offer

Raffles Hotel Singapore

January 30th, 2021

An essential element of Raffles Hotel Singapore’s storied history and home of the Singapore Sling for over a hundred years, the Long Bar has reopened its doors on January 7th, 2021 after being closed for a major refurbishment. The refreshed interior preserves the celebrated colonial-era atmosphere – and with its plantation-inspired décor and famous long timber bar counter, the Long Bar offers the perfect destination for casual drinks and special celebrations.

In addition to the original recipe Singapore Sling, there is also a range of cocktail variations that offer a twist on the iconic concoction, such as the refreshing Sakura Sling (S$29++) – an exotic blend made with Dasai 50 Sake, Calvados, St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur Hibiscus and Cayenne Cordial, Green Chartreuse; and the exquisite Vintage Sling (S$188++) – made with private collection vintage spirits from the 1950s, the era when the Singapore Sling was becoming a global cocktail icon.

Guests can also choose from a selection of Straits Classic Cocktails, historical recipes from the Straits Settlements – favorite international cocktails, remixed with authentic local flavours and ingredients.

Raffles Hotel Singapore is offering an exclusive promotion with every purchase of the Original Singapore Sling (S$35++). Available from 7 January till 31 March 2021, guests who order an Original Singapore Sling are entitled to an additional complimentary Original Singapore Sling or one snack of their choice from the Asian-inspired bar bites menu.
