The Pinnacle Guide is a pioneering recognition system that celebrates excellence in cocktail bars worldwide – awarding bars with either a 1, 2, or 3 PIN classification, as it aims to become the most wide-ranging, credible source of inspiration for discerning drinkers. As a recognition system, The Pinnacle Guide stands out with its transparent approach, providing a level playing field for cocktail bars of all sizes and locations to showcase their excellence. Successful applications result in a series of anonymous reviews by a judging panel that consists of industry experts, renowned mixologists, and discerning bar enthusiasts, ensuring an objective assessment of each establishment.

Set to become the cocktail bar industry’s most respected accolade of excellence, The Pinnacle Guide is based on a thorough self-application process, and rigorous assessment modules, followed by a series of spot-check interviews and anonymous in-bar reviews. Assessment modules include front of house (processes, thoughtful touches); the drinks program (menu concept and coherence, ingredients, presentation); the venue look and feel (atmosphere, comfort, design); staff management (diversity, equity, inclusion); operations (efficiency, cleanliness, sustainability); and community (inclusiveness, responsible drinking).

The Pinnacle Guide’s commitment to fairness and integrity ensures that every deserving bar can be recognized, fostering a vibrant and diverse bar industry. It aims to be the ultimate symbol of excellence that all bars aspire to and consumers trust.
