Sophisticated hotel bar offers specialty cocktails, premium wines, vintage cigars & nightly live jazz

Launched in March 2019 within the ultra-luxury Rosewood Hong Kong, DarkSide bar offers a sophisticated destination for discerning guests to indulge in premium beverages, vintage cigars, and live jazz sessions. Discretely revealed behind plush velvet drapes, the DarkSide interior exudes refined elegance with its meticulously executed decor, subdued lighting, and bespoke decorative glass installations. An outdoor terrace takes advantage of the hotel’s harbourfront location providing the ideal backdrop for the appreciation of fine cigars and drinks.
Heading up the beverage program at DarkSide are accomplished mixology professionals Arkaduisz Rybak and Simone Rossi – while Rosewood Area Director of Wine Nicolas Deneux has curated the wine offerings – with a focus on premier French and Italian producers. Highlights of the wine program include whole casks of aged (1969) single-harvest tawny port – and the collection of vintage champagnes.
Headlining the specialty cocktail program at DarkSide is a concise list of well-executed classic cocktails – complemented with six signature creations that exemplify modern mixology techniques – elevated with intriguing combinations of ingredients and flavors. In addition to cocktails, the bar also boasts an exceptional selection of rare labels of dark spirits including rums, whiskey, a Normandy calvados from the early 19th century – and notably – a 12-year vintage Pierre Ferrand Grande Champagne cognac – served by pipette direct from the cask.
Engaging live jazz sessions feature nightly from 8 pm – underscoring the elegant sophistication of the DarkSide experience.
DarkSide opens daily from 6 pm until 1 am – with 2 am closing on Friday and Saturday nights.
