Occupying a nondescript inner-city shophouse, the well-loved speakeasy bar 28 HongKong Street turns 10 years old on 30 October. One of the most influential pioneers of the Singapore bar scene, ‘28’ invites its legion of fans and new friends to celebrate the last decade and enjoy a special ‘Greatest Hits’ menu with some of the most loved cocktails from over the years that have made their mark on Singapore.

Available at the 28 bar from 25 October to 30 November, the Greatest Hits cocktail menu will feature five of the venue’s best-selling cocktails from over the years. Featured cocktails include the Whore’s Bath (circa. 2011) made with Manuka honey vodka, umeshu, pear, lemon, pickled ginger, and lava salt; Paper Tiger (circa. 2016) made with Alipus Mezcal, Ancho Reyes, East India Sherry, and Gran Classico Bitter; Literate Lass (circa. 2008) made with Michter’s Rye Whiskey, port, amaro and dandelion bitters; and Hittin’ Switches (circa. 2017) made with Plantation Original Dark Rum, Italian bitter, passionfruit, coffee, lime, spiced cacao bitters, and overproof rum.

And at the end of October watch out for the release of a specially commissioned mini documentary film that commemorates a decade of fine drinking, great parties, and even greater people. Past employees and bartenders who have made a name for themselves in the nightlife industry and have played a pivotal part in the growth of the beloved bar have taken part in the documentary to tell the story of the past ten years and how 28 has become what it is today.

The film will be released on 28 Hong Kong Street and Proof & Company’s social channels on 30 October.
