Sociable all-day dining and drinks in the casual comfort of central KL venue

December 5th, 2012

Occupying an expansive two level space at the front entrance of the GTower complex in central Kuala Lumpur, House exudes a relaxed and welcoming ambience that has made it a popular dining and drinking destination for both city office workers and the residents of the adjacent upscale Ampang district- home to many foreign embassies and luxurious residences. House offers a multifaceted concept, combining a gourmet all-day dining restaurant, with a vibrant bar, and retail winepost. The open kitchen of the restaurant serves a menu melding Western and Asian culinary techniques into a broad ranging selection of dishes to please all tastes. Adjacent to the restaurant on the ground floor, the Winepost offers the wine aficionado a vast range of wine labels from all the leading global wine districts. And on the lower ground level the spacious bar area includes an open-air “garden” section, with a casual relaxed atmosphere that is conducive to extended sessions of social drinks. The homely concept and fresh, healthy cuisine of House also makes it a popular choice for family meals- particularly on weekends.

House is open Monday to Saturday from 11:00 am- with the bar closing at 1:00 am on all nights.

A second branch of House has recently opened- located at the e@Curve complex in suburban Mutiara Damansara.

The contemporary design has a casual-chic style with a predominance of blond timber furniture and wall paneling, which combined with the timber floors and neutral toned furnishings create the comforting “homely” feel of House. Spread over two levels, the main entrance is from the ground floor lobby of GTower- where the open-plan restaurant extends out into the lobby floor space. Inside, beyond the featured 12 metre long fruit juice bar and kitchen, the interior dining room is an attractive space- casual and uncluttered.

The Winepost occupies a space at the head of the staircase connecting to the bar area on the lower ground floor. The timber shelving showcases hundreds of wine bottles that can be purchased for immediate imbibing in the restaurant and Winepost, or taken away for home consumption.

And on the lower ground level, the bar occupies a partially enclosed indoor space, that opens onto an adjoining open-air garden terrace space, within the main building envelope so unaffected by rain.
